Why your transformation journey shouldn't look like mine

Jan 11, 2021
I've been talking a lot about the transformation the past week in my social media posts because I'm launching a new program next week. But I wanted to share a reminder that your transformation won't look like mine. Or your sister's or your friend's or your insert-name-here. And it shouldn't!
We all have different lives. Even siblings and family members. My sister and I grew up in the same house, with the same guardians, and went through the same childhood stuff. But our experiences were vastly different and have shaped us into different people. So even though you might think our journeys would be similar, they aren't.
Every single one of us has a different set of beliefs and ideas that have shaped us into the people we are today. We each have unique stories we carry that no longer serve us. This means we each have different hurdles to jump and different journeys to travel.
There is so much information out there about how to evolve or grow or transform. Once you research spiritual awakening or anything affiliated, I swear all your news feeds will start showing ads for yoga training or meditations or programs to find your spirit guide or your personality archetype or goodness knows what else.
Do not feel like you have to do it all!!! Sure, look into anything that piques your interest, but try not to put yourself in another box. "Oh, I'm trying to evolve so I need to be totally spiritual, talk about the Universe and Source and manifestation and crystals and chakras and I don't understand but I have to learn so much more!!"
Sunshine. You can travel whichever path you want to get to who you truly are and who you want to be.
For some people, that's a 200-hour yoga teacher training. For others, that's tarot. For some, it's exercise. For another group, it's sitting in silence 10 minutes a day.
NONE OF OUR PATHS WILL LOOK IDENTICAL.
Just because your best friend is trying a new self-development program that's rooted in plant medicine doesn't mean you have to too.
Just because I talk about journaling doesn't mean you need to start your day off with that.
Follow what feels right for you.
Follow what feels in alignment with you.
That's the real purpose of your transformation journey - to be aligned with who you really are. So don't turn it into finding a new box in which you must squeeze your amazing self.
